"What is Coronavirus?


Coronavirus Disease 2019 or COVID-19 is a respiratory illness caused by a new form of coronavirus that was first detected in China. It has now spread to multiple other countries around the world including the U.S."



"Is anyone immune?"


Because this is a new virus and there is no vaccine, immunity has yet to be established. Therefore, everyone should take proper precautions and do their best to minimize the risk of infection."



"Who is most at risk for being exposed?"


The overall risk of being exposed to COVID-19 is relatively low. However, people who have traveled to places where there is widespread community infection, healthcare workers, and close contacts of people infected with COVID-19 are most at risk of infection. For an updated list of locations where COVID-19 has been identified visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website."



"Who is most at risk for complications if exposed?"


Those most at risk include the elderly (>60 years old), those with chronic medical conditions (diabetes, lung disease, heart disease etc.), those with comprised immune systems for any reason."



"What can I do to minimize my risk?"


Avoid touching your face, it is the gateway to infection. Wash your hands often with soap and water- sing Yes, Jesus Loves Me (verse and chorus) twice to make sure you’ve washed long enough. Avoid unnecessary close contact with those you don’t know. Continue to plead the Blood of Jesus!"
